We’re proud to share that our President and Founder, Tyler Marks, has been named to the Triangle Business Journal’s 2026 40 Under 40.

This award recognizes young leaders across the Triangle who are making a significant impact through business growth, leadership, and community involvement.

Tyler founded Marks Clearing & Grading in 2018 with one Bobcat and a commitment to outwork every opportunity. Since then, the company has grown into one of the fastest-growing turnkey sitework contractors in North Carolina.

Today, Marks employs more than 215 team members and operates a fleet of 265 pieces of equipment, delivering clearing, grading, underground utilities, and paving for many of the region’s leading builders and developers.

But this recognition is about more than one person.

Tyler is the first to credit the people behind the work: the operators in the field, the foremen and superintendents leading our crews, the project managers coordinating every detail, and the support team that keeps everything moving.

This award reflects the culture they have built together; one rooted in faith, family, accountability, and a commitment to doing what we say we’re going to do.
